Mission Statement
ACOPA / KANGAN INSTITUTE students from Media - Screen and Media will have the opportunity of combining their skills with students from Community Dance, Theatre and Events. As part of the training/assessment criteria students will be required to combine their skills and choose at least two projects to work on in Screen and Theatre. Students will have the opportunity to Produce Theatrical Productions and Short Films regularly at Club Voltaire. Ensemble teams will be encouraged to travel and perform in various venues throughout Victoria. Student Films/Music Videos and Documentaries will also be exhibited in Melbourne film clubs/venues.
ACOPA / KANGAN INSTITUTE students will be taught by Industry Professionals with an eclectic/diverse range of production/performance styles. We employ teachers from a variety of cultural and training backgrounds providing our students with a rich source of material to work with. We therefore encourage our students to explore, experiment and challenge themselves.
Course Pathway - Upon completion of our certificate courses, students will have the option of continuing with us or taking up further studies with another training body. Career Options - ACOPA / KANGAN students will be assisted in developing / performing their own productions at Club Voltaire as well as pursuing other venue options. New Short Courses
Acting for Film, TV and Theatre
Australian Centre of Performing Arts - 10 Week Short Course in Film / Television
Nationally Accredited Course in partnership with Kangan Institute.
The Australian Centre of Performing Arts (ACOPA) is seeking teachers for full time/ part time/ short courses.
Accredited teaching qualifications and practical experience required.
1. Screen Acting - Must have Directing/ Producing credits. 2. Stage Acting - Must have Directing/ Stage Management experience. 3. Musical Theatre/ Cabaret - Must have experience in contemporary innovative edgy production. 4. Singing / Voice / Speech - Must have some recording experience.
